Leading mandates across Figura Advisory and MergersCorp, he advises founders, corporate boards, family-owned enterprises, and institutional investors on buy-side, sell-side, joint ventures, and capital raising strategies, with a core focus on Southeast Asia and international corridors.
His expertise spans the entire deal lifecycle, bridging high-level transaction strategy with rigorous execution. Faiz specializes in investment-grade DCF and LBO financial modeling, multi-jurisdiction financial due diligence, business valuation, deal structuring, and Investment Committee alignment. Through his track record as an independent global corporate development consultant and M&A advisor, he has successfully steered cross-border acquisitions ranging from $5 million to $50 million, managing regulatory coordination, OECD/BEPS cross-border tax considerations, and transaction execution across multiple legal jurisdictions simultaneously.
Before focusing on cross-border transaction advisory, Faiz developed deep operational finance foundations across the UK, Middle East, Africa, and the APAC region. He held senior finance leadership positions with major energy, maritime, and infrastructure multinationals, including TechnipFMC, SLB (Schlumberger), Shell, EnQuest, Eaglestar, and Johor Port Berhad. His operational track record includes leading financial planning for an RM800 million port development project, overseeing financial performance and capital allocation across a multi-billion-dollar maritime fleet of 100 vessels, and managing capital deployment and operational budgets exceeding $100 million across North Sea PSC-governed assets.
Faiz combines institutional financial discipline with commercial acumen, connecting middle-market businesses and strategic assets to private equity, venture capital, family offices, and infrastructure funds.
He holds full ACCA Fellow status and earned a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Liverpool John Moores University.
